I can’t hear the students I’m ZOOMing with 

  • Is the sound ON (not muted) on your laptop? 
  • Do the students have the microphone ON in their ZOOM and set to the correct microphone they’re talking into? 
  • Students at home should have their microphone set to internal or earbuds 
  • Students on VC should have their microphone set to the microphone on the USB camera  

The VC I’m connected to can’t hear me 

  • Do you have the correct microphone selected in your ZOOM window? 
  • Does the VC unit have their sound ON on the TV? 
  • Does the VC unit have the speaker set to “Samsung”?  

I’m hearing an echo when I’m teaching to students and ZOOMing to a VC or students at home 

  • Check to be sure only one microphone is set to pick up your voice
  • Some teachers want that microphone to be the one on their laptop
  • Some teachers want that microphone to be the one on the VC USB camera
  • Check to be sure the iMac isn’t set to be a speaker.
